The Somerton Academy provides a range of construction, engineering, welding, health and safety and management programmes aimed specifically at those currently serving in the armed forces, those looking to resettle and those that have already entered civilian life.   Many programmes can result in direct employment opportunities with local and national employers including tier one contractors at Hinkley point C. 

The Somerton Academy has 5 trade workshops with assessment bays that are well equipped with state-of-the-art equipment and resources. Classrooms and restrooms with vending machines are available for learners to use and there is plenty of on-site parking.  

Train4All have a dedicated resettlement team and 14 trainers with extensive industrial experience.  Train4All has been awarded the Silver Armed Forces Covenant for our commitment to providing training and employment to Armed Forces men and women and their families and are now proudly going for Gold!

The Somerton Academy is easily accessible from the A303 near RNAS Yeovilton and Junction 23-25 of the M5.

Train4All hold strong employer links and as such actively recruit for our customer base across the Southwest and beyond.  Working alongside EDF, Train4All are proud to be supporting the growth at one of the UKs largest construction and Engineering projects, Hinkley Point C, offering fully funded programmes with employment outcomes.

Construction & Engineering Skills Training:

All of our courses are accredited by City and Guilds, ILM, ECITB, OCN or NOCN and are delivered flexibly to suit individual requirements.  Home Study packs are available prior to attending practical sessions in the workshops where required.

There are a number of grants that can be used to support training, including Enhanced Learning Credits, Standard Learning Credits and Individual Resettlement Training Grants as well as Government funded initiatives and FREE employer sponsored training courses.
