TIAH to host a panel at LAMMA 2025, highlighting untapped veteran workforce

The Institute for Agriculture and Horticulture (TIAH) is proud to announce its participation in LAMMA 2025, the UK's premier agricultural machinery show, with a special focus on connecting veterans with opportunities in the farming and growing sectors.
On January 15, 2025, at 3 PM, TIAH will host an exclusive panel discussion titled "From Armed Forces to Work Forces" at the Farmers Guardian LIVE stage. The event aims to bridge the gap between ex-military personnel and the agricultural industry, showcasing the wealth of transferable skills veterans can bring to farms and agricultural businesses.
Farmers and growers are encouraged to attend this illuminating session to explore innovative solutions for workforce challenges. The panel will highlight how veterans' unique skill sets - including leadership, problem-solving, and adaptability - can significantly benefit farm operations. Skills recently highlighted by Deloitte in their thought leadership series ‘Veterans Work’ following extensive industry research*. It shapes the argument how the farming and growing sectors can benefit, and LAMMA is the perfectly place to showcase this opportunity.
Alongside the panel, TIAH will also be signing the Armed Forces Covenant. The Covenant is a voluntary pledge demonstrating its’ support for the Armed Forces community.
