Landmarc Support Services delivers the critical support needed to ensure Armed Forces personnel can train safely and effectively across the UK Defence Training Estate. From managing infrastructure to delivering multi-million-pound improvements to training assets, Landmarc plays a vital role in operational readiness for military forces. Its strong ties to defence, including a workforce composed of 25% veterans, position it as a natural second home for service leavers transitioning to civilian careers.

In the past year, Landmarc recorded 245 leavers, of whom only 21 were veterans – representing just 9% of all departures. These figures indicate strong retention for former service personnel. Recruiting veterans, Landmarc’s recruitment strategy for veterans is embedded in its operations. The company attends multiple career fairs and military-specific employment events annually, including those run by the Career Transition Partnership. In addition, Landmarc hosts its own Employability Workshops in collaboration with X-Forces Enterprise and SSAFA, giving service leavers practical advice on the transition to civilian employment.

A key feature of Landmarc’s commitment is its Guaranteed Interview Scheme, under which all veterans who meet the basic criteria for a role are guaranteed an interview. This scheme has expanded to include military spouses and partners, and in the past 12 months alone, over 1,600 Armed Forces-affiliated candidates have been interviewed through the programme. Dedicated pathways, while Landmarc does not currently operate a formal internal programme for advancing veteran talent, the company’s work on the Defence Training Estate provides veterans with a seamless path between military and civilian life.
