Queen Ethelburga’s School of York has been a trusted and welcoming institution for Forces families for over 100 years, offering a thriving community, strong pastoral support, and specialised services for Military children.

Queen Ethelburga’s continues to be a popular choice for parents in the Armed Forces, thanks to its commitment to providing exceptional education, tailored support, and a host of resources aimed at meeting the unique needs of Military families.

The school will host its next Open Morning on Saturday, January 25th, inviting prospective families to explore its wide-ranging provisions for Military children. Visitors will have the opportunity to learn more about the school’s extensive support system, which includes three dedicated Forces Liaison Officers and a variety of Forces clubs designed to help students adapt and thrive.

In addition to its academic offerings, Queen Ethelburga’s is CEA-accredited, which allows Forces families to benefit from significant financial discounts. For the 2024/2025 academic year, CEA-eligible families can send their children to the school for just £1,470 per term per child.

For those seeking to plan ahead for the September 2025 academic year, Queen Ethelburga’s remains a top contender for military families. As a multi-award-winning institution and the current ISA Senior School of the Year, the school continues to stand out in the educational landscape. To discover more about the school’s offerings, families are encouraged to attend their next Open Morning on Saturday, January 25th, Saturday, March 8th or visit www.qe.org/forces-families for additional details.

The supportive British Forces community at Queen Ethelburga’s includes 280 students, all of whom benefit from the school’s strong sense of community and personalised pastoral care. With an established history of supporting military families, it’s no surprise that Queen Ethelburga’s has remained a preferred school for generations of Forces personnel.

Families interested in learning more can also attend the Open Day on Saturday, June 7th, or visit www.qe.org/open-day for further information.
