At the event you will find out more about their commitment to the Armed Forces, what it’s like working for Network Rail, hear from one of their ex-military employees and hints and tips on our recruitment process. Refreshments will be provided on arrival and a light lunch in the afternoon.
You will also have the chance to meet Network Rail staff and ask questions.
Who can attend?
Anyone who has served in the Armed Forces and is ex-military are open to attend. This year we are also opening the invite out to partners or spouses of ex-military personnel.
Working for Network Rail
Network Rail recognise that those who have served in the Armed Forces have a unique skillset that are highly sought-after, especially in a safety-critical environment. This includes discipline, teamwork, leadership, can-do attitude, ability to stay calm under pressure, determination, flexibility, and decision making in a very varied and evolving technical environment. Network Rail welcome all of the above to complement the specific competency training that you will receive upon joining the Railway.
