Nationwide careers briefing day for Service leavers: Swindon 4 Feb 2027

Nationwide Building Society is running a day at its Swindon head office to help Service leavers prepare for civilian work, with a look at its data governance teams.

Nationwide is opening its Swindon head office to Service leavers, and to anyone thinking about leaving the Armed Forces, for a full day on Thursday 4 February 2027. The morning is given over to practical help with finding civilian work; the afternoon looks at one part of the business where military experience fits well, its data governance teams.

The day will include:

• A welcome from Nationwide and a session on moving into civilian employment.
• How recruitment works at Nationwide, with advice on job searching and using LinkedIn.
• Workshops on writing a CV and preparing for competency-based interviews.
• Sessions on data governance, covering data quality, data lineage, policy management and data retention.
• Networking at a morning break, over a buffet lunch and after the closing questions at 4.30pm.

The afternoon explains what Nationwide’s data governance teams do, the kinds of roles they recruit for and how skills built in the Forces carry across, with colleagues from the business talking about their own work.
