Forces Employment Charity employability workshop, London 27 Oct 2026
An hour-long workshop at the QEII Centre on 27 October on naming your transferable skills and building the network that finds you work.
If you are working out how to explain what you did in service to an employer who has never worn a uniform, this is an hour well spent. The Forces Employment Charity and Veteran UK are running a short employability workshop at the QEII Centre on Tuesday 27 October 2026, and it runs twice so you can fit it around the rest of your day at the show.
It is led by Lisa Jones, Senior Executive Career Coach, and Sandra Parker, Veterans Support Employment Consultant. They cover how to recognise the skills you already have and turn them into a short, confident message for employers. The rest of the session is about reaching the jobs that never get advertised, through networking and a LinkedIn profile that earns its keep.
Who it is for
Veterans, police and anyone holding security clearance who is thinking about a move into a new sector.
Where to go on the day
Find the Forces Employment Charity stand in the Veteran UK area on the fifth floor and they will direct you to the workshop room on the sixth.
You will need an EXPO ticket
The workshop sits inside a set of co-located shows at the same venue, and you have to be registered for one of them to attend. Security Cleared EXPO and Cyber Security EXPO run on the third floor, Veteran UK and Police Resettlement on the fifth.
