Forces Employment Charity launches employability series for wounded, injured and sick veterans
Free webinars and a networking evening help those whose careers have been changed by injury, illness or medical discharge plan their next step.
The Forces Employment Charity has launched a free employability series for wounded, injured and sick members of the Armed Forces community, as a Social Impact Partner of the Invictus Games Birmingham 2027.
Running through November 2026, the series combines four lunchtime webinars with an in-person networking evening in London. It is aimed at people whose working lives have been changed by injury, illness or medical discharge, and at the families supporting them.
Who it is for
- Wounded, injured or sick Service personnel and veterans
- People who have been medically discharged, or are part-way through the process
- Those on a recovery journey, with accessibility requirements or living with a registered disability
- Family members supporting a wounded, injured or sick Service person or veteran
- Family members living with a lifelong condition
The webinars
- Monday 16 November, 1pm to 2pm: Empowering yourself into employment. Your rights at work, handling disclosure and workplace adjustments, and speaking up for yourself.
- Friday 20 November, 1pm to 2pm: Getting work ready. Assistive technology, workplace adjustments, CVs and interview preparation.
- Monday 23 November, 1pm to 2pm: Exploring pathways. Employment, retraining and starting a business, with employers and entrepreneurs, and volunteering as a first step.
- Tuesday 24 November, 1pm to 2pm: Community, connection and long-term support. Peer networks and community resources, with an NLP coach from The Warrior Programme.
Networking evening in London
The series closes on Thursday 26 November, 4pm to 8pm, with a guest speaker and an evening in London that brings together the wounded, injured and sick community, families, Forces-friendly employers and support organisations.

A separate webinar on Wednesday 18 November, 11.30am to 12.30pm, covers accessible recruitment, workplace adjustments and how to retain and support wounded, injured and sick veterans.
How to register
One form covers every session: tick the ones you want to join. Places are limited, and the charity is asking people to share the series with anyone who could benefit.
