Independent resettlement & recruitment guide for serving Armed Forces & Veterans

The University of Chichester is a respected institution that offers a wide variety of courses. It has been in the Top 40 of UK universities for the past four consecutive years (Guardian University Guide 2024).

It has two campuses: one in the centre of Chichester, and the other in Bognor Regis.

Both sites are easily connected by a regular inter-campus bus service and have close transport links. Across the two sites, students have access to a range of state-of-the-art facilities including a sports centre, the Tech Park, Students’ Union, restaurants, coffee shops, and learning resource centres.

Alongside the fantastic facilities, the university also has support teams able to cater to all student needs. Students can get help and advice on matters related to physical and mental health, finances, careers guidance, study skills and more.

The University of Chichester combines an outstanding education with a fantastic community feel. Smaller campuses and classes, and a highly supportive network of teaching and support staff are things its students consistently say are what they like about studying there.

The subject areas offered by the University of Chichester include:

All of its courses have different entry requirements, and range from BTEC, A level, Access to HE Diploma, and many more. We have numerous entry options such as a bridging course, a 12-week course that provides you with the knowledge and skills you will need to access higher education, integrated foundation year options on many of our courses, foundation degrees and three-to-four year undergraduate degrees. Plus, in some instances prior professional experience is considered. It is recommended you contact the admissions team in the first instance to discuss what qualifications/experience you have so they can advise on the best course options for your requirements.

Hear more from our students’ experience of studying at the University of Chichester:
The degree sparked my interest in adventure therapy and exposed me to various adventure activities and the therapeutic benefits they present. I then did a master's degree in adapted sports. I am now an additional needs and disability support officer for SSAFA. I help deliver adaptive adventure sports with the Calvert Trust for wounded veterans and their families. I also offer disability advice to veterans. I wouldn't be where I am today without the outdoor and adventure education degree and the support of the lecturers.

I have had the best experience completing my teacher training at the University of Chichester. I have loved studying here due to the amazing lecturers and tutors who are so skilled and knowledgeable and who offer invaluable guidance and support. The resources and facilities at the university are excellent and there is an extensive variety of classroom resources that are so helpful both at university and out on placement.
