The Business School is a first-class professional development provider, delivering the highest calibre of training to the highest standards. We specialise in the provision of learning and development to military audiences – indeed this was our driver for setting up the business in 2014. We are ELCAS, Cyber Essentials and ISO:9001 approved. The courses listed below all attract ELC and SLC funding, and there are specific mapped options for particular trades.
We are approved for qualifications at levels 2 – 6 on the Register of Regulated Qualifications, but crucially, this recognition is flexible, especially for assessment methodologies. This means we can design assessments that again meet the needs of candidates and their deployment and other commitments. We are approved to assess by offering a much more flexible approach than traditional time-bound examinations, which enables utilisation of supporting technology and varied geographical locations and meeting operational commitments – this is obviously always our preferred option. We have a very well-established Virtual Learning Environment (VLE) – this is used to enable learners to access learning materials to support their own reflection, revision and reading. Learners can access our VLE anytime and anywhere, thus addressing operational and deployment commitments – it was designed specifically to meet the needs of serving personnel.
Our directors and trainers have extensive experience in working with the Armed Forces as well as the public and private sectors. The majority of our trainers, assessors and verifiers have considerable military experience. Our combination of military and commercial experience leads to the design and development of courses that not only meet candidate and organisational needs but focus on emerging industry and business needs.
We are entering the 5th year of a partnership arrangements with the Defence College of Logistics, Policing and Administration for the delivery of 'mapped' professional qualifications whereby military training courses have been mapped against professional qualification standards and bespoke courses designed to deliver gaps in learning, offering cost and time effective study.
Our ‘Recognition of Prior Learning’ model delivered to serving and resettling personnel through our Virtual Learning Environment enables military trade training to be fully incorporated into professional standards, recognised as commercial best practice. A mutually beneficial delivery model offers heightened commercial awareness for military personnel, shortened learning times, crucial value for money and access to civilian networks and activities.
The following courses all attract ELC and SLC funding, and there are specific mapped options for particular trades.
