Extract from City & Guilds External Verifier Report

Our courses are designed to train service leavers with little or no previous experience of their chosen trade to achieve accredited certification. We ensure that you achieve this by employing trade qualified and experienced staff, keeping class sizes small, providing excellent facilities and giving you as much support as you need before, during and after completing your training.

We appreciate that it is still a big step from completing training within a training centre to completing work in the ‘real world’. To help you take this step we provide you with full support by telephone and email so if you have any questions then a tutor is only a call away. We also have a number of courses that consist of training within a domestic property.

We are committed to successfully helping learners to re-train and we regularly review feedback from attendees and employers to ensure that we continue to offer quality training courses.

Construction Skills College is an approved training provider accredited to offer qualifications and certificates through City & Guilds, Construction Awards Alliance (CAA), British Plumbers Employment Council (BPEC), EDI, NOCN and EAL.

Course description

Carpentry and Kitchen Fitting

Our accredited MoD and ELC approved Level 3 carpentry and kitchen fitting courses are ideal if you wish to change career and start working within these trades.  We offer the training as part of different packages as customers are preferring to have one person complete a full project such as a kitchen refurbishment (remove old kitchen and tiles, relocate pipework and connect dishwasher/washing machine/sink and fully tile the area).  The packages that tiling are included are complete kitchen installations and the multi-skilled and property developer packages.  Details of these packages can be found by clicking on the links lower down on this page.

The courses we offer are suitable for people with little or no previous experience and we can train and progress you to NVQ accreditation.

A number of our training courses also include training / work experience so you get to practice your skills in a realistic environment away from the centre.

We are able to offer advice and guidance on becoming self employed and this support as with all of our support is available anytime after you leave the centre.

Upon completion of the course you will receive full support from your course tutor and all staff at the centre so if you have any questions regarding completing work, pricing jobs etc – give us a call.

Construction Skills College is also an approved CSCS health and safety test centre and we will arrange for the test and construction site operative card to be completed during your training.  YOU WILL RECEIVE A FREE CSCS CONSTRUCTION SITE OPERATIVES CARD IF YOU ATTEND AN ELC FUNDED COURSE
