CNet Training has been designing and delivering network cabling Resettlement Programs since 1996.
CNet is the only industry dedicated technical education provider to award both industry recognised qualifications and official certifications for its programs. It is respected and trusted by multinational organisations to provide technical education to their teams within network cable infrastructure and data centres across the world. CNet’s ELC provider number is 1267.
The company’s most popular resettlement program, the Certified Network Cable Installer (CNCI®) teaches everything needed to confidently and accurately prepare, install, test and certify copper and fibre optic cabling systems. It is specifically for those wishing to demonstrate the highest levels of knowledge, skills and expertise in network infrastructure.
- The 10-day program is extended to 20-days for Forces Leavers, to include a two-week work placement with one of the top cable installation companies in the UK.
- This provides essential hands-on work experience, the ability to gain valuable contacts and, for some, an offer of employment.
- Successful completion of the program provides official certification with a post nominal title, two level 3 BTEC qualifications and ECS card eligibility. An ECS card is required to allow individuals to work on-site.
CNCI® certification is recognised and endorsed by major companies throughout the network infrastructure sector across the UK and Ireland and is proving popular in the United States too.
- It has become recognised as the must-have credential for cable installers and is stated as a requirement on many job specifications and a must for teams within tender documentation for many new builds and refurbishments.
- The Royal Corps of Signals have also adopted the certification. Recognising the importance of having professionally certified teams, they have entered into a collaborative agreement with CNet to internally deliver the Certified Network Cable Installer (CNCI®) program to its Installation Technicians.
- Content of the program has been designed in close collaboration with the industry and is constantly being updated to reflect the very latest technical changes. This ensures that the program material is of the very highest standard and continues to be recognised as the essential certification needed to achieve high quality cable installations.
- The Framework has been designed to provide the right skills and knowledge progression in line with industry career paths.
- It is recognised and respected all over the world, providing designations that have become key skills reference points that allow those holding them to clearly demonstrate their ability and experience.
- Forces Leavers are able to use their ELCs for programs across the Framework, providing the perfect opportunity to further enhance knowledge, skills, credentials and help achieve career goals.
CNet offers many other programs for Service Leavers (see the list below), or you can view the different packages and prices here.
CNet is also the originator of the Global Digital Infrastructure Education Framework which showcases a full suite of technical education programs throughout the network cable infrastructure and data centre sectors, all of which have been approved by ELCAS.
For individuals who require guidance, the dedicated Resettlement team at CNet is able to help every step of the way and offer advice regarding the best next steps on an individual basis.
