Close Protection & Overhead Lines railway engineering. Start your courses straight away with on line training sessions. 

The Close Protection course - Akona will provide you with online interactive study prior to attending the practical training and assessments. The course provides you with a pathway in gaining your SIA license and and future employment in the Security industry. 

Overhead Lines Electrification Railway Engineering – This railway engineering course requires the learner to start his or her training package with Akona by studying Heath and Safety and track safety prior to the practical aspect OLE construction course.

Individuals are required to have a minimum of 5 years’ experience in this field off work. During this course, you will gain the relevant knowledge to be able to carryout tasks such as electrical inspections, installations and maintenance activities on the infrastructure. Who is this course for? Experienced operatives who are/have been been working in the electrotechnical industry as practicing electricians for a minimum of 5 years. Those who wish to have their competencies recognised and work towards an ECS Gold Card. Those who wish to develop their career. Akona Ltd is an NSAR approved provider of Overhead Line Construction Training which meets to NetworkR ail Standards. The purpose of this NVQ is to define the technical competence requirements to undertake construction, renewal, enhancement and modification activities of Railway Engineering Overhead Line Construction without direction.
