Wiltshire College and University Centre has a long association with the military and is a proud supporter of the Armed Forces Covenant.
Our staff recognise the many positive benefits that students from the military community can bring to their courses and fellow students. A number of our tutors and support staff are from the military community and help to reinforce the close links we have established.
Located in the Salisbury Plain Super Garrison, we aim to support serving Armed Forces personnel, Veterans, Reservists and their families by providing quality courses designed to enhance personal and professional development.
Wiltshire College and University Centre enables members of the military community to translate their knowledge and experience into nationally recognised qualifications that can be applied to their current role within the Armed Forces, or transferred onto a future career.
For those leaving the Navy, Army or Air Force and looking to retrain in an exciting new career, the Wiltshire College Resettlement Team is on hand to assist service personnel make the transition back into civilian life with a range of bespoke training packages designed to make the most of Enhanced Learning Credits (ELC) and Standard Learning Credits (SLC) or established training courses.

Working with well-known employers in and around the region, apprenticeships are a great alternative to traditional learning, giving young and mature learners alike the opportunity to earn as they learn as they work alongside experienced staff in the workplace to gain nationally recognised qualifications.
Early in 2017, the College was awarded more than £20million of government Local Growth Fund money via the Swindon and Wiltshire Local Enterprise Partnership (SWLEP) to invest in its Salisbury and Lackham campuses.
The plans include redeveloping the Salisbury campus and introducing a new Life Science curriculum there, while Lackham will see the construction of an Agricultural Technology Centre and the introduction of a higher education centre which will house incubation space for land-based businesses.
