QUEST would like to congratulate Akona Ltd and DETA 2000 Ltd (trading as HAL), which have received Bronze Awards under the Armed Forces Covenant Employer Recognition Scheme (ERS).

The ERS recognises commitment and support from UK employers for defence personnel. The scheme comprises Bronze, Silver and Gold Awards for employers who support those who serve or have served in the Armed Forces, and their families.

Akona Ltd is a training solutions company, specialising in the delivery and accreditation of vocational training packages, including ELC-funded programmes. It has developed an innovative approach that utilises technology and practical applications, combining them with vocational training, to ensure learners receive recognised qualifications/standards for their courses, which are geared towards railway engineering, health and safety, crowd management and the security industry.

DETA 2000 Ltd (Doncaster Engineering Training Association) delivers, among other things, engineering apprenticeship programmes and commercial short courses. It is currently offering LCL level 3 FGas as a standalone course, and City & Guilds hydrocarbons, mobile air conditioning and level 3 pipework and brazing courses, all of which are eligible for ELC funding. It also offers an intensive 15-day refrigeration and air conditioning course, and level 3 PAT testing and 18th Edition – all ELCAS funded.
