How much are we talking about? The latest figures (updated June 2021) are as follows:
- AFPS75: Officers – £16,597
- AFPS75: Other Ranks – £11,344
- AFPS05 and AFPS15: £11,651 for both Officers and Other Ranks
And, remember, this is a tax-free lump sum intended to help Regular Service personnel settle into civilian life. There is no stipulation as how you use it, but if you take up another military post too quickly, bear in mind that you might have to repay some or all of it.
