New BFBS Radio app launched

New BFBS Radio app launched

NEWS

19 Oct, 2021

BFBS has launched a new radio app, available to download for all Android and Apple devices …

As well as enabling access to all BFBS Radio stations, anywhere in the world, the new app allows listeners to hear and download their favourite music and BFBS podcasts, listen to catch-up services, browse all scheduling information … and more.

It is available to download from wherever you get your apps. If you already have the existing BFBS app then you can just run an update (and, if you have your device set to auto-update apps, it will happen automatically).

Simon Monk, BFBS deputy director radio & live events, says: ‘At BFBS we strive to ensure that our listeners have the most up-to-date means to access their favourite music and podcasts wherever they are in the world. This app will enable them to listen and catch up with all our latest content and help them feel even more connected to home.’

Alongside launching the new app, BFBS Radio has given its audience the chance to choose a new BFBS radio station, based on their favourite music genre. There is already BFBS Beats (the hottest dance and R&B tracks), BFBS Edge (the best new and classic rock and indie), BFBS Rewind (great music from years gone by) – and BFBS Radio listeners have been given the opportunity to choose their very own new station from one of the following options: Best of British, Chilled, Country, Gold – 70s, Kids or Soul, or even suggest one themselves.

About BFBS

BFBS is a military charity and broadcaster that entertains, informs, connects and champions the UK Armed Forces. We bring entertainment, news, sport and information services to the military, their families and veterans worldwide. We spread happiness and keep people in touch, building morale among the military overseas – offering them a valuable connection to life back home, and a way to share experiences and build communities.

We are also the home of military content, championing the military by keeping their activities in the public eye on our Forces digital channels and on our national TV channel.
