L3 TRL Technology announced as main sponsors of Tour de Troops Castles 2019

For the second year running, defence and cyber security company, L3 TRL Technology, has been announced as lead sponsor of the gruelling fundraising charity challenge for cyclists, Tour de Troops Castles 2019.

Cyclists will start the mammoth 570-mile (900km) bike ride from Edinburgh on Wednesday 5 June and finish in Cardiff, cycling via Windsor, on Saturday 8 June, having taken in three of the UK’s most significant castles.

The Tour de Troops Castles challenge is part of the Captain James Wadsworth Challenge, which raises money for the charity, Felix Fund.‘The Felix Fund helps bomb disposal and search personnel and their families. It is such an important charity, and one that is extremely close to my heart, having seen first-hand the amazing work that it does,’ says Captain Wadsworth.

Adds Richard Flitton, vice president and general manager, L3 TRL: ‘We are proud to play our part in supporting the defence and security services by providing them with force protection systems. L3 TRL’s continued sponsorship of the Tour de Troops allows us to acknowledge the enormous sacrifices made, and risks taken, by bomb disposal and search personnel in order to keep us all safe from harm.’

Travel to and from the start and finish points each side of the four day-long stages, and accommodation, is included in the £150 entry fee. A support team will be also on hand and nutrition will be provided.There are still places available to take part in the ride.
