Give your civilian career prospects a lift!
Many Service leavers are choosing Ainscough Training Services for their training when they leave the military as it accepts Enhanced Learning Credits and is approved by the CTP. And, with 80% of its workforce ex-MoD, you can be sure it knows best how to support you when you leave.
Tim Morgan, operations manager for Ainscough Training Services and formerly of the Duke of Wellington’s Regiment, has some great advice about his own experience in transferring to civilian life: ‘I left the Army in 2006 after 22 years’ service. I would say, ensure you carry all the qualities and experiences you have gained in the Army and convert them to the needs of the civilian job environment, research every avenue and spend your resettlement money wisely – in particular, look at the construction industry and our business, ‘lifting operations.’
To get you on-site in the UK you will need the CPCS (Construction Plant Competence Scheme) card; this is the card ELCAS will fund for categories at level 3 and above.
Ainscough managing director, Richard Crayston, continues: ‘The growth in demand for lifting operations training has far exceeded any of our expectations. Lifting operations are not just used in construction, but many other business sectors too, such as aerospace, utilities, manufacturing, renewable energy and many more, giving a wide range of job opportunities for Service leavers. Most importantly, we offer a unique guaranteed interview opportunity with Ainscough Crane Hire for Service leavers who train with us’.
Ainscough Training Services is one of the largest independent specialist training providers in the UK, and provides the following training and NVQs: Slinger Signaller, Mobile Crane Operator, Crane Supervisor and Appointed Person. It has a bespoke training centre in the north-west, and access to discounted accommodation and a training venue in north London.
Ainscough Training Services regularly attends military fairs to meet and discuss training and career options with Service leavers. For more information and to talk to someone who can help you, please call 01772 623591 or visit www.ainscoughtraining.co.uk
