Prevent accidents and save lives with British Engineering Services

Join us as an engineer surveyor and you will make the most of your engineering knowledge and expertise, build relationships with clients, and take responsibility for making big decisions on the condition and future safety of plant and equipment. Your challenge will be to inspect and assess the condition of all kinds of plant, equipment and installations – you name it, we’ll work with it – and all with the support of one of the most forward thinking, and career-focused engineering companies on the planet. Don’t just take our word for it, see what some of our people say here: bit.ly/briteng

Some of our best engineer surveyors have joined us from the military. Here’s Mario’s story:

I served as a vehicle mechanic in the Royal Electrical and Mechanical Engineers for 14 years. I met an engineer surveyor on site and, after speaking with him, was attracted to the variety and flexibility the job offered. I had a young family and didn’t want to risk missing key events in their life because I had been deployed. I feel more in control of my life now and the company has a reasonable number of ex-military employees, so it was an easy transition. One challenge has been the lone working side of the job, but as I’m at home most nights and weekends now I get to socialise with my old friends from home.

Sound good? You’ll need to have a level 4 engineering qualification and a good level of practical experience. You’re flexible enough to work from home, you’re a great communicator, you’ve got a full driving licence and you’re looking for your next big challenge. In return, you’ll discover a company with an unrivalled heritage – an exciting business with huge vision and energy … and a fully UK-owned organisation that puts best practice first.

With a competitive salary, pension contributions up to 10%, a company car ownership scheme and best-in-class training, you’ve just found a career that will stand up to any test!
