Early birds sign up now for run with a colourful twist!
The Royal Air Forces Association, which supports the RAF family, will once again be staging Colour Chaos at RAF Cosford to raise money for its vital work to improve the well-being of serving and former staff, including war veterans.
The event gives members of the public the chance to run a 5 km course through an RAF station while being showered with powder paints, and applications are now open for this year’s run on Sunday 28 July. A limited number of early bird discounted places for the event are available now, and the charity is encouraging families in particular to sign up and raise funds.
Helen Tempest, challenge events manager at the RAF Association, says: ‘We’d love to get as many people from the Shropshire community to visit their local RAF station and take part in this crazy, colourful event. All the money raised will go to projects supporting the mental and physical health of members of the RAF family.’
Entry costs £10 per person, and is free for children under five; £35 early bird tickets are available for families of up to five people for a short time only. Participants will also benefit from free entry to the RAF Museum at Cosford.
On the day, volunteers and serving personnel will cover the runners in powder paint as they attempt to complete the course. All runners will receive a free Colour Chaos T-shirt and a medal.
Places are available now, so sign up at www.rafa.org.uk/colourchaos
