Access your new gas career with Kier!

NEWS

06 Dec, 2017

It’s fantastic when you hear comments like ‘It’s changed my life’ and ‘I now employ people’, time and time again. At Gas Training at Kier we often hear from Service leavers just how much our new entrant course has helped develop their careers.

As a leading property, construction, residential and services group, Kier offers a high-quality course and an ongoing commitment to you and your career. Since they were launched in 2011, our courses have been taken by more than 100 Service leavers, who have successfully trained and qualified as gas engineers.

The coming year will see some exciting changes to our new entrant course. The new BPEC Foundation Diploma in Domestic Gas, leading to ACS, is a new 16-week programme that splits the subject into manageable chunks and includes an intensive work placement. Following this is a final assessment, which will lead to securing Gas Safe-recognised qualifications. This new course is shorter, more intensive and, at £4,200, lower cost too.

In 2018 we are introducing 0% interest finance over 12 months to help you manage your money while on our course. You will be able to get an answer within minutes and we can even help with loan applications. Our commitment to your career once you leave the Forces extends to providing you with a guaranteed interview once qualified, which we hope will get you on the ladder to the rest of your life!
