Cyber Security Manager (IT)

To help us complete exciting and innovative projects and day-to-day to activities, we are looking for a Cyber Security Manager to lead our response to cyber threats against all Information Technologies (IT)

Our IS team is currently undergoing a transformation which will enhance the services it delivers and ensure they are best positioned to play a proactive and value orientated role across our business.

As part of this transformation we are recruiting for a number of new and exciting roles within our IS team.

What will you be doing?

To help us complete exciting and innovative projects and day-to-day to activities, we are looking for a Cyber Security Manager to lead our response to cyber threats against all Information Technologies (IT) Overseeing threats within our assets managed by our IS teams, our “grey IT” and delivery partner’s assets, you’ll act as a visible Subject Matter Expert across our organisation.

Working with senior leaders to define and mould our cyber security strategy, you’ll play a key role in influencing investment and implementation of cyber technologies and processes through the provision of excellent technical consultancy, advice and leadership.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Clearly communicate a transparent and inspirational vision and strategy for IT security driving standards to keep us at the forefront of our industry.
  • Create and promote an IT technology risk management methodology that is understood and appreciated across the business.
  • Communicate the degree of risk exposure that exists to senior managers and influence the delivery of mitigation projects.
  • Create, sponsor and promote programmes of work to address existing and future IT cyber security vulnerabilities.
  • Implement IT security plans by embracing new technologies and work processes which compliment strategy and future plans.

What do you need?

As our next Cyber Security Manager, we are looking for you to have in-depth experience of managing IT systems in a complex organisation. 

Holding a Cyber security qualification, you’ll easily develop strong relationships with key stakeholders by being viewed as a competent leader who works with integrity at the core of all activities.

With the ability to take complex technical issues and translate them into an understandable format for non- technically minded individuals, you’ll have a track record of delivering success and developing a team and individuals by displaying strong core values.
