The training courses we run have been designed to provide you with the best possible start before taking a pub with us.
Our courses have been tried and tested and independently reviewed to ensure we offer the best, practical and relevant advice on taking over a new pub, protecting your investment and helping you and your business grow.
Results have shown us that investing time in training has a direct correlation through to a successful and sustainable business.
Below are examples of some of the key courses you will need to attendwith us before we hand over the keys to your new business.
BIIAB Level 2 Award for Personal License Holders(APLH) £130 + VAT
This one day course is designed to give you total understanding of Licensing Law issues that will prepare you to sit the NCPLH examination at the end of the session. The training is supported by BIIAB NCPLH Handbook which is sent out at the time of booking.
Cellar Management£70.00 + VAT
This one day Cellar Management course is delivered by our team of experienced Greene King Cellar Trainers. They'll demonstrate how to manage your cellar effectively and efficiently to ensure consistent quality, high dispense standards and customer satisfaction. At the end of the day you'll be invited to sit the BIIAB Award in Beer & Cellar Quality.
This course is for you if you're thinking of running/managing a pub or restaurant.
Finance£85.00 + VAT
This one day course is for you if you don't like figures, but also works for people with some finance knowledge too. Learn how to clearly and simply monitor the financial controls needed for running a successful pub. Whether you are already self-employed or about to set up in business, we'll teach you how to understand and protect your investments. In difficult times you need to control and maintain your income and to seek greater efficiencies and protect yourself against fraudulent activity.
You need to understand the money behind your business. A little bit of knowledge in the right place could save you £££s in the future - this course makes it easy to get in control
Specialist Tenant Training£100.00 + VAT. This course is essential for new Licensees. Our Specialists give you intense one-to-one training at their pubs, to ensure you know all the nuts and bolts of running a pub business. Each programmeis designed to match your personal requirements and our Specialists are located throughout the country so you won't have too far to travel. Workshops vary depending on your experience but they usually take 3-5 days. Throughout your initial induction, your Specialist Tenant Trainer will continue to be available to answer any questions and offer advice as your mentor.
If you are new to the licensed trade you MUST attend this course, as the workshops are tailored to your own requirements. Qualifications offered
All qualifications regarding running a pub from Management to hygiene.
